In addition to spinal adjustment, chiropractors give practical suggestions and lifestyle advice that can help patients recover from injuries and stay healthy over many years.

Who can see a chiropractor?

Everyone can see a chiropractor! Chiropractors can treat patients of all ages, from very young children to elderly seniors. Some chiropractors specialize in treating specific patient groups, like children or pregnant women, however, all chiropractors can treat all patient sub-groups.

The patients who most benefit from chiropractic care are those who suffer from conditions such as musculoskeletal disorders, personal injuries, headaches, whiplash, sciatica, allergies and more. Do you have to have a referral from your doctor to see a chiropractor?

You can see a chiropractor any time without referral from a doctor. However, if your health insurance covers chiropractic care, your insurance company may require you to see a physician first. Talk to your insurance company to find out if you need a referral in order to see a chiropractor.
